ABOUT THE CORAX
Customer focussed design
The Corax is developed with a clear customer-focused design philosophy that emphasises reliability, simplicity, and operational efficiency. This balance between intelligent automation and an intuitive human interface makes the Corax both highly capable and easy to operate.
Fully autonomous when you need it to be!
The Corax can be operated exactly the way your mission requires. Ranging from fully manual control via handheld controller to complete autonomy through our docking station integration and VOXL2-powered autonomous flight capabilities. This flexibility ensures you can deploy the system in the mode that best supports your operational workflow.
Battery safety
The Corax battery features advanced cell-balancing and integrated protection against overcharging, deep discharge, and short circuits. It continuously monitors battery health to ensure safe operation and timely return.
Overall safety
The Corax’s lightweight design and durable propeller guards minimize the risk of harm in emergency landings or collisions, allowing it to absorb bumps and continue flying while protecting its surroundings. In harder impacts, the guards serve as a first line of defense shielding motors and propellers and can be quickly replaced thanks to their snap-fit design.
Alternative camera setup
The Corax features a camera setup similar to the ModalAI Starling V2, with a 45° upward-tilted front-tracking camera to prevent obstruction from the propeller guards.
If needed the configuration is adaptable, and additional or alternative cameras such as downward-facing thermal (Lepton) or high-resolution (IMX412) options can be added. Contact us via the form below to discuss custom setups.
Easy to operate
This balance between intelligent automation and an intuitive human interface makes the Corax both highly capable and easy to operate.
Current use cases
The Corax is designed for reliable indoor flights in various controlled environments. Corvus Drones has extensive experience operating fully autonomous drones indoors, particularly in greenhouses.
